Early Retirement - a necessity ?

How many of you out in cyberspace  have chosen early retirement for reasons of economic necessity?

due to:
1) the number of available jobs are difficult to obtain

2) the type of jobs have evolved beyond your ability or willingness to morph into a multi-tasking digital-speed worker bee

3) lost a major portion of your retirement savings in the economic debacle created by Wallstreet in years 2008 - 2010

4)  other?   (fill in the blank ____________________________________)

Is anyone willing to post and share how their life has changed . .
for worse . .
or for better . .

or to avoid making judgments,  share  about the quality of your everyday life

the new activity,  or rediscovered activity that might come forward,
which you had to give up while working.

How has the cessation of full-time work  changed your thinking processes
about your life . . .

New Pieces to the Puzzle for a New Life

What are the pieces in yours?            Are you having issue with fitting these together into a whole that is satisfying and workable?

(Please share.  There are no answers here,  only questions toward a resolution)
Oasis in Concrete
In a possible world of concrete options, "carved in stone" by ageism, changing physical body no longer able to perform computer-intensive tasks or keep up with the speed of the world now driven by the digital age,
the changing mental body, no longer willing to multi-task to the point of psychic fragmentation . .

How are you building your "Oasis" in the desert?
Where do you build it?   Does someone live there with you?   or  is your oasis your sacred space, where you live unto yourself?

[This blog is for sharing of ideas, experiences, problem solving - not a site for rants - in pursuit of New Options  for people who are living on less than $30K per year]
